Psychiatry and Mind Body Medicine
William Hale, M.D., has practiced psychiatry and mind-body medicine for over 25 years. He takes an integrative approach in working with people who experience depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder and numerous other psychiatric conditions. He works with adults, elders, and children.
Dr. Hale also works with people who have physical illnesses such as hypertension, migraines, chronic pain, cancer and other conditions, helping them to either eliminate symptoms or to cope better with conditions that will not go away.
His approaches include psychotherapy, dream work, medication, biofeedback, and stress management training based on mindfulness meditation. He teaches intensive courses in Stress Management based on Mindfulness Meditation.
Dr. Hale graduated from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and the Karl Menninger School of Psychiatry. In addition, he completed a two-year training program at Menninger in Biofeedback and Psycho-physiologic Therapy. Under the auspices of a one year Fulbright Fellowship to India he studied Ayurvedic medicine, the traditional medicine of India. He also did an internship in Mindfulness Meditation-based Stress Management at the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine.
